Whenever I look for a particular artist via the Sonos app (through Apple Music) I get “An error has occurred with Apple Music. Try again later”. On the rare occasion an artists albums show up the playlist is empty. I have re-authorized my Apple account, restarted my iPhone and Sonos app. Everything shows up in the Apple Music app. Any suggestions?

UPDATE problem solved. Called tech support, performed system reset and all is right with the world.

I’d try a reboot of your Sonos speakers, too. Failing that, I’d call Sonos Support to discuss it.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

Tried rebooting speakers as well. No luck. Tried the S1 app and it’s happening there, too.

So, what did Sonos Support say?

I tried an Apple Music search for an artist.  The albums do show here.  This was on IOS on my iPhone.  App is up to date.

I saw that Apple Music is down in certain areas (but didn’t read the article)

Says that the U.S. is one of the impacted countries. Odd that I can AirPlay through the Apple Music app, but can’t stream Apple through the Sonos app.

Two different methods by which Apple servers are reached. What I have no idea about is if they’re just two ports on the same server, or two individual servers. But for your Apple Music app, you don’t go to the server that has SMAPI, whereas your Sonos does. Unfortunately, Apple owns both.

As of 9:17 Eastern Time, it is purported to have been resolved, so if you were testing a Sonos issue, you can do so now.

Now I have a new issue. Some albums are still missing tracks. Then I open the Sonos app on my iPad and everything is “normal”, open it on iPhone and tracks are missing.
