One of the main uses of Sonos for me is being woken up by Radio. It plays in my whole flat, and I can go from my bedroom into the kitchen, feed the cats, wander into the shower all the time being lulled by Radio 4 (UK talk radio news etc). But recently, I am now conditioned to the Sonos Donkey (Chime?!) and am woken by Eeyore eeyore - eeoyre; eeyore - eeeevery morning.
I have re-booted my router.
Yes, grouped rooms is checked - but none of them work
I have rebooted my iPhone.
I have rebooted the speakers.
I have tried Spotify, Sound Cloud, different radio stations - I still get the donkey
I am not interested in anyone talking about ‘connection issues’ I have a 50 sq m flat, and the minute I grab my phone and turn off the donkey and ask it to play Radio 4 it starts no problem. My next step is to erase the whole system and start again. I find that ridiculous having invested so much in this system. Does anyone have any ideas?
Yes, me too. All my alarms, which were playing my Pandora stations were suddenly erased. I can’t access my Pandora stations anymore. I tried to set an alarm yesterday and picked music that Sonos presented to me. It did not alarm this morning. Also, I can’t find or play my personal music anymore.
There has been a slight development, I contacted Sonos and the refreshed the app and we re-loaded the alarms. This did not fix the issue, but it might for you. Refreshing the app re-named my bathroom as bedroom (no idea). What I have noticed is it is only Radio 4 I am having the problem with. No other source is an issue, including all the other radios stations from the same provider (so Radio 1, Radio 2, 3 etc work fine) They have escalated but in order to address I need to call them between 9am and 5pm from home. I work during the week, so….
Yes, I plan to try and call when I’m home from work today. I couldn’t get any kind of music to play this morning.
It would be nice if they offered support to those of us who can’t work from home. I hope they sort yours out
My experience of alarms that use Internet services is don’t set them on the hour or half past, instead set just before or just after, eg if your is set to 07:00am, change it to 06:58am or 07:02am.
If you listen to BBC, use the BBC Sounds service, this is far more reliable than the Tune-In etc services.
If you are using Apple devices and have issues renaming players, check this link:

Really helpful thanks. Yes, I was using BBC Sounds and you're right, usually very stable. I’ll try the above, thanks again
