WORK AROUND

So I got it work, kinda of. Though far from Ideal I got my Sonos speaker (Move 2) to once again work with the MacBook Pro M3 via airplay.

With the MacBook I chose another Sonos speaker that never stopped working with it. Then I linked the Move 2 to it by the holding down my finger on the play button on the Move 2.

I checked and if I then deselect the other speaker via the app both are no longer connected. So again far from ideal. But it does work. Though it is also worth noting the Move 2 does also have bluetooth while the Era series does not. So there was a back up alternative already. But fidelity over bluetooth isn’t nearly as good as over Airplay.

Interesting.

For kicks, I decided to try something similar.

I was able to Airplay to an older speaker (an Arc or a One), and then add my Era300 pair to that group in the Sonos controller.

Also not ideal, but it did work. Even if it was kinda laggy.

@Smocksox

FYI, the Era series do have Bluetooth. Maybe your comment saying they do not was a typo🤔
