I store my media files on an external drive in a folder called \Music. My MacOS Music folder which contains the library is stored on the internal drive in a folder called \Music.
I have created a share to the external Music folder, \\MacBook-Pro\Music, and added it to the Sonos app, the music was indexed and it plays properly.
I now want to add in the playlists I’ve created. The problem is I can create a share for the internal Music folder but its address looks exactly the same as that for the external folder, \\MacBook-Pro\Music. Obviously the underlying network path for the two are different but the Sonos app only requires the \\host\folder name format.
I haven’t tried adding it to the Sonos app as I fully expect it not to work - how could it determine the difference between the two?? Is there a better solution than copying my music library file to the external drive and re-indexing the Music Library in Sonos?
