I have the same issue with imported playlists from iTunes not playing on Sonos via the IOS App. Mine are just ‘regular’ playlists created by me (ie not ‘Smart’ which are a different dynamic feature in iTunes). The music files and imported playlists are all sitting on my NAS. Sonos will find and display the imported playlists via ‘Music Library’ and will also display the content of the playlist on the IOS App, but the system will not load the playlist into the queue and start to play.  However, an individual tracks in the playlist can be selected to ‘Play Now’, ‘Play Next’, ‘Add to end of queue’ etc which all work as expected.

There are no issues loading / playing the same imported playlists using the Sonos App on a Windows PC, or the SonoPhone 3rd party App on my iPhone.

So to me it seems like it is a Sonos IOS App issue (along with the missing A-Z index for scrolling through songs).

Yes, all of this

Let’s hope the fix also includes being able to load and play an imported playlist from a local music library.

not sure if this is related but I am unable to start my imported playlists on my iOS devices (phone and iPad) - the playlists will load but the queue will not start to play - I have reset, removed and re-installed the App several times without any positive result - the imported playlists work correctly with the alternative app SonoPhone

It’s bug - Sonos support are aware of it

just to get in first 😊, no, todays update doesn't fix the A-Z  or allow imported playlist to be played via the app

Does not fix the Amazon Music Unlimited user created playlists rounding off.  A 423 track playlist still only loads 400 tracks.

besides the playlists, also alarms do no longer work 😌

They are iTunes playlists (a mixture of Smart and non-Smart)  that import directly into Sonos from my NAS along with the rest of my library. Until around 4 months ago they played flawlessly from within the Sonos app and then stopped working although they update if they are changed, they just can’t be played.

Sonos support have acknowledged the issue but not fixed it yet

I confirm that imported (iTunes xml) playlists still do not work with the latest update of the SONOS app. You can (buy and) use the SonoPad app that does work with the imported playlists.

Have you tried exporting your playlists as m3u instead of xml? I use iTunes/Apple Music app on a Mac to export my playlists. There’s a dropdown on the export playlist window where you can choose different options like plain text, xml, m3u, m3u8 format. I use m3u and I’m able to play it on Sonos right now.

Forgive my technical ignorance but how do I get my playlists into Sonos as m3u ?

I currently just have them all in iTunes which syncs to a folder on my NAS and then the Sonos app library updates (manually or every evening. The playlists all appear in Sonos both in the Windows app and on iOS but they will only play form the Windows app, not via iOS

Also, if I’m exporting them as m3u I presume I would have to manually update/re-import any that changed in iTunes

Thank you - I got a test playlist into Sonos and IT PLAYS via iOS 😊

I presume I’ll still have the issue that any Smart Playlist won’t update automatically?
