Hi @Sgt832

Thanks for clarifying that. I happen to have an old tablet with the old Sonos app installed and found exactly what you mean - it used to look like this:

Hi @Sgt832

Welcome to the Sonos Community! And, apologies for the delay.

I am not entirely sure I know what you mean. If you are comparing the old Sonos app with the new one, it’s possible that this just isn’t an option anymore.

However, things can vary from one section of the app to another. Please let me know which music service/source you are browsing, and please include a screenshot of what you currently see - just so there’s no confusion as to what we are actually referring to. Thanks.

Thanks for the help

  1. I use Amazon. Music and my albums come up five across as in the screen shot. I used to get the same display on sonos but now I get only one album on each line, I would think there should be an option to choose either display  as there is on Amazon Music and as there was on sonos before the change

Please post a screenshot of what exactly you see in the Sonos app, and what device you are using. (Is this from My Music / Albums or some other Albums container?)

(Sonos have never offered an option as to the number of items shown)

Hi @Sgt832

Don’t worry - I showed you a screenshot from the old version of the app, and @controlav is showing you a screenshot of the app that he wrote.

With the current version of the Sonos app, what you see is all you can see, but a feature request is in so things may change (it may already be planned - I’m not sure).

I hope this helps.

It would appear that the new app has not implemented any support for customized content displays. Amazon asks for its albums to be displayed as a Grid, which you can read about here: https://docs.sonos.com/docs/create-grids

The above screenshot is how my app chooses to display Grids.

With the old app I would get the same grid showing my albums in name order, why can’t i get that back?

The new app is a complete rewrite, totally new code and it doesn’t support this. Can’t do it until Sonos add it.

Unfortunately Sonos released the new app before it was ready basically an Alpha release. It is missing a ton of features. Sonos lied about it (marketing emails said all features would cary over) and it has a crap ton of bugs.

But if you have an Android tablet (looks like it from your screen shot) you can change back to 16.1 app, just delete the new one and sideload the old one.
