I can link my Alexa account with Vodafone and this allows me to make phone calls but only on amazon Alexa devices. My sonos speakers unfortunately do not come up as an option, any plans to get this changed? As I have sonos ones all over the house this would be a great feature to have for me and I can imagine many others too.

No, Sonos hasn't made any announcements in this area. They normally don't give out such promises until it's pretty much developed and ready to do though, so it doesn't mean it's not happening. I can't imagine this is high on the list though. For one thing, you can't currently making any call with the Alexa calling features that have been out for a while now, and I imagine that would come first, if it happens at all.
And, Amazon would need to be willing to share that functionality, rather than keeping it as an enticement to purchase Amazon’s hardware. It’s not just up to Sonos.
