Xiaomi TV remote not detected by playbase IR. Is there an alternative or workaround? Sonos app volume works fine.

If the Xiaomi TV remote does not use IR, there is no Sonos device that will be controlled by it. All Sonos sound bars, and the Sonos Amp are set up with IR receivers on them.
Either you need to find a way to get the Xiaomi remote to use IR, or find a way to use a “universal” remote that does so.

I’m not familiar with the Xiaomi remote. How certain are you that it is using IR, rather than either Bluetooth or WiFi? What’s the model number of the remote, and the TV?

Noted all replies. Called the hot line n is confirmed no IR remote cannot be used. Need to find the old tv remote to control sonos then.
