Hi again

In general I like the user interface in the app and I also like the changes now in july.

One thing with the GUI i don't like so much is the display og speaker groups in form in the "player". It's today as "buttons" on a single line on top of the speakers.

Even though I initially made 8-10 groups I rarely use them as scrolling to get the wanted group isn't natural use for me. I would like the groups listed somehow - then will selecting a group be easier and more on intiuition.

I don't have a clear solution how to improve it. It can be a list above/below speakers, it can be a tan for groups and a tab for speakers. Probably other better solutions - just look into how groups can be displayd best way 🙂

Thank you in advance

Amund

If there are groups of Rooms you use regularly create those groups in Settings-Groups.  Then access them from the Now Playing screen or set up Sonos Voice Control and ask him to play one of the groups.

If you are an iPhone user a more sophisticated way would be to create automations in the iPhone Shortcuts app to group Rooms, set volumes for each Room, play content.  Name the Shortcut something distinctive so Siri doesn’t mistake it for a common command.  That is likely a totally different topic.

Yes, I have created groups in settings.

I don't use voice control.

My wish here is the design of showing groups that you have marked with a yellow line (Everywhere, bedrooms, dining). I have made 9 groups and it's then way to long to scroll those to the right. In everyday stress my mind don't want to read while scrolling - I want to see a list of the groups and intuitive select the group my mind recognice (without actually reading all group names to find the correct one).

As the design is today I end up selecting speakers manually instead of using the groups I have made.

Are you able to remember all those group names or do you need to scroll through them to spark your memory.  If you know exactly which one you want to play set up Sonos Voice Control and let him do the work for you.

Maybe Sonos could add a small button that creates a vertical list of all the created Groups.  Touch it again and the screen returns to the normal list of Rooms.

Having a tabbed display, Rooms and Groups, both displayed vertically, like Rooms are now?
