There are some excellent 3rd party Sonos controllers for Windows Phone. You can't expect Sonos, or any developer to support a eco system even its creator has tired of. And I speak as a former Windows Phone user who reluctantly had to admit it was dying about me.

iOS and Android accounted for 99.6% of the smartphone sales in 4Q 2016. Unless something truly miraculous happens, don't expect to see many developers bothering with it. The dev dollars are better spent in places that the majority can benefit.

Sonos has definitively stated there will be no Windows Phone/Mobile/UWP app. Their development efforts are geared toward voice control.
