How can I set a volume limit? My PLAY5 only a week, but I already 2 times accidentally made the volume to full in the middle of the night through a sonnet controller on the poppy

There currently isn't a way to limit the volume in the Sonos controller.

Volume Limiting- This is a simple feature to add. Why is Sonos not doing this without being poked with a stick, and then ignoring its customers, it would be a useful feature!.

Just a guess, but the older Sonos devices are very starved for memory. Thus adding features may be based on the decision on whether or not to orphan those older devices, something Sonos does not take lightly.

Personally i find it all very frustrating.
As a family we don't use our Sonos set up, we just use our apple products to play music on.
When this happens, i feel Sonos is failing its customers. Its too much like hard work to get Sonos working correctly.
