Hi. When i try to open sonos i’m asked to update controller. I press update and am redirected to AppStore, but when i press open there i’m just sent back to sonos which says i must update, and so i’m sent back and forth.. help?
Un-install sonos from your controller, and start a fresh from the app store.

All will be good....
And don't feel like you're alone. I couldn't update from inside the app either this time around. Had to go to the app store to get it to update properly. No idea why.
Hi, I'm new to SONOS and I am having this very issue. I have deleted the app & reinstalled but still the issue remains... Any other suggestions?
I'm going to hazard a guess that it's actually asking you to update the software on the speakers, if you've already downloaded a fresh version of the app.

You can click on the three dots at the bottom, then settings, and finally on "about my Sonos system" to see what version of the app and what version of the software is on your speakers. In that same area of settings, there's a line for "online updates" that would push you towards updating the speakers, too.
Reinstalling worked for me.
Thanks for your reply Bruce, I will try that later when I get home from work and see how I get along... fingers crossed and appreciate your help.
Me too. Silly circular directions. Update takes you to App Store, opening app takes you back to update… I think PaulW123 is probably right. I’ll uninstall the app from my iPhone and then download afresh from the App Store. Not very user friendly, Sonos!
One thing that would be great for me would be a one-touch each way link between EQ and the Now Playing screen. Each song is different and songs come from different sources; some tracks are bass-light, others bass-heavy etc. OK, I’m fussy, but I fiddle with the EQ all the time. I’ve resorted to having the Now Playing screen available on one device and the EQ screen or another. As I say, a one-touch each way link would be great.
