Has anyone found a way to stream Sonos sound via Sonos' PC software through your PC's soundcard? Basically use your PC as a player?

Not possible, the PC software is just a controller. No music passes through the controller, it is fetched directly from the source by the Sonos devices themselves. Even if it were possible, effectively allowing a cheap Raspberry Pi to replace a Sonos device would be suicide for Sonos.

I don't think that's actually feasible, by design. In order to make money, Sonos has to sell speakers, you don't actually pay for the software used to control them. By allowing the Sonos app to control your PC's soundcard, you wouldn't need their speakers, and they wouldn't make any money, so it's not something they would have made easy.

And I'm not even going to mention (OK, I will) that the Sonos app doesn't play any music anyway. It's all handled at the speaker level. The app just tells the mini-computer on the speaker where to go and get the music, and nothing actually goes through the app at all.
