Hi,

I’d like to stream my songs directly from the Amazon Music app (the Android one) instead of from the Sonos app without losing the lossless capability that the Sonos and Amazon Music HD integration has on the Sonos app.

According to this web page (https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3549?utm_source=owners_newairplay2_128803615&utm_medium=email&utm_content=cta-t2-learnhow_FR&utm_campaign=engagement_control2_178622_1623952&language=fr&et_rid=486898252) it’s written (in French) that we should be able to select our Sonos device from the Amazon Music app but I can’t see it on my Android phone (OnePlus 5T).

Thanks,
Alexandre

@zibrata, It’s called ‘Alexa Cast’.

How do I get started?

First, get the latest version of the Amazon Music app. Next, on the “Now Playing” screen, you will see a casting icon in the bottom right. Tapping the icon will bring up the list of all your available Alexa devices for you to select.

@Smilja, thanks for your answer.

It seems that the feature you are reffering to is only available on an Alexa device which is not my case (OnePlus 5T); I can’t see it from my Amazon Music app.

@zibrata, This is how the icon looks like.

Yes, actually I don’t see my Sonos even when I click on the stream button

This interface doesn’t look familiar. Is this a special edition of the Amazon Music app preinstalled on the OnePlus 5T?

This app is not preinstalled. It comes from the official Play Store.

@zibrata, I’d recommend to get in touch with Amazon support. There’s also an OnePlus online communiy that might be able to give advice and assistance.

Didn’t have any chance with the Amazon Music support. I’ll probably have to wait until the app is patched to fulfil the gap on the OnePlus 5T version.
