It shouldn't take longer than 5 or 10 minutes to index the largest libraries , what operating system are you using and what kind of storage device are you trying to add? in theory disconnecting your Sonos devices ought to do the trick. Hi, sorry for the delay. Is your system still experiencing the same issue? If the music stored on a Mac or PC? Also, how is the computer connected to the network?
Using Synology cs407e NAS. Had 2 folders one for music and one for audio books. Removed the book folder and issue was resolved.
