Spotify Play Counts

Question

Hi,

I realise this has been asked before but j can only find years old threads relating to it.

Do my plays on spotify via sonos feed back to Spotify and therefore count towards daily and discovery playlists?

For clarity I am browsing via the sonos app.

(I know they never used to, hoping this has changed!)

@Gs_triumphWelcome to the Sonos Community and thank you for bringing this question to the Community. Since you have added your Spotify account to your Sonos system, they have access to your usage. They can then use that information to createyour daily curated playlists.

Hi there. Following up on this thread, can you confirm if Spotify is able to ingest play counts from playing from my Sonos app or my Spotify app streaming to Sonos? I recently received my Spotify Year in Review and it looked super strange, so i’m looking for clarification here and wanting to understand why Sonos isn’t able to send Spotify this data.
