Sonos Control 4 Security Integrations

We would like to link a security camera to hardwired Sonos speakers. So an alarm can sound through the Sonos speakers when motion is detected through the security camera. Most of the house, including security, is controled via a Control 4 app. Could you please engineer the software to allow for such a scenario to be programmed?

SONOS publishes an API that CONTROL 4 could use to accomplish this. They would need to develop a driver for this.

As a not very nice workaround you could setup a SONOS unit with Line-In to Autoplay a warning tone when CONTROL 4 detects motion. If you experiment with this, you’ll discover shortcomings and may be able to work around some of them, but it won’t be much fun.

Hi thanks for the response. I'll ask Control 4 about developing the driver.

We've got some good technicians over in Victoria, BC, working on the system so I'll check with them about trying a Line-In solution but would prefer a customized alarm tone. Might have to provide small technical speakers for the security camera integration.
