will a beam + gen 1 connect amp and a sub still work together as a 5.1 after the changes in may?  i can’t tell based off the article if it’s just grouping the speakers that won’t work or if using a connect amp as surrounds with a beam or playbar won’t work as well.

It will work just as before, but you will only be able to run S1 software,

Also, grouping will continue to work as it did before, as long as all your legacy and modern devices are still running S1 software.

So what you mean is that Isudaddy can still using his connect:amp as surround as he did before the update? Can I still configure a connect:amp gen 1 with a beam as surround as well? I mean, it was never used for that purpose but now I’m planning to do it.
thank you in advance!
