Hi,

I am currently using a Kindle Fire HD 3rd generation to control my Sonos system. I find it very slow, has anyone any ideas for a cost effective tablet that will be used primarily as a Sonos controller. that will be quicker than the tablet I am using at the moment.

Regards

Most cost effective is going to be a new Kindle 6th/7th generation. That would take you from 32bit to 64bit and from 2 processors to 4 processors.

Not as cheap, maybe $50 more than a non-special offers 8" Fire tablet, but a pretty decent option is the 8" Samsung Galaxy Tab A from Costco (in store, not on-line) with their extended warranty and a nice discount price.

I saw food reviews on Lenovo tab 4 8. That is just over $100.

I tend to replace my phone around every two years. The old phone is then good for use as a Sonos controller. I don't really need it myself, but have handed it over to guests from time to time.

Some reviews. Yes my phone has mind of it’s own.

Lenovo in a food review would be... A bit hard to swallow.
