Since recent updates (May 2019), I can no longer maintain my place in a very, large, shuffled queue by grouping to, then dropping from a different room. This is a FUNDEMENTAL issue and is totally ruining my SONOS experience.

For further explanation please also refer to the following posts:

I have my entire music library - 35,000+ songs on shuffle in my queue. Is there any way to save my place? It's kind of a pain to scroll down so many songs after going away from it.

The queue pointer is lost when another source is selected. The only option is to group with another player and transfer the queue plus pointer to that, then transfer it back again later.

Can anyone else reproduce this problem or is it unique to my set-up?

I have now spoken to Sonos and this problem has been identified as a bug.

Hi bullfinch,

Thanks for the update. Our technicians are working on this issue, and I'll reply here when we have an update to share.
