How can we request (beg) for access to folders while using Plex, just like we can access folders in the Sonos music library? Being able to put music in my Plex folders is such a great feature for those of us with large music collections or for listening to temporary music, etc. Unfortunately not being able to see folders makes the Plex capability a lot less capable.

As I understand it, it's entirely under the control of Plex - i.e. there's nothing that Sonos can do. And Plex don't seem that keen on enhancing their current 'system'

That's too bad. Is there a customer support email for Plex?

Had a quick look at https://www.plex.tv - if there is, they hide it well...

Plex has a forum dedicated to their Sonos connectivity, though it's seen no activity from a Plex employee for a couple of months now. Lots of requests are out there for a variety of different views, along with the connectivity issues some are facing. Given that Plex offers folder navigation in their other apps, I would imagine it would eventually come to Sonos... but when is the big question.

It all has the feel of a 'tick box' aproach - i.e. 'Plex now works on Sonos', rather than any feel for quality. For my usage, it's effectively useless, so when I hit the Sonos limits I'll probably pursue the reduced tags approach in a separate dataset. Takes more disc space, but discs are cheap these days - and at least that way it will all stay 'in house' - ie. no internet connectin needed.
