I am looking for a device that can play the sound from my Surface Pro 7

Play:5 from headphone out to line-in? Or, what outputs do you have?

Sound output is 3.5 mini jack.

I am wondering if there is a device for which Bluetooth or wi-fi could be used to play the sound from my pc.

Only the Move supports bluetooth, and there is no wifi method for what you desire. A 3.5mm cable is by far the simplest solution, assuming you have a Play:5.
