So, for whatever reason I want to stick with 9.1 of the player software. However I have upgraded my PC to 9.2 and now I can't do stuff. Now I appreciate that with iOS and various app stores you can only distribute the latest versions of the controller software. But with PCs and Macs, you should have an archive somewhere of old versions of software.
Are you really saying that everyone with a sonos MUST be on the latest versions! Or else! It is such a flexible system that you can't expect everyone to use it in the same way. We don't particularly do streaming so if a particular version is good enough, then why can't we stick with it.

Even if you could, your system is at 9.2, which disables the same menus when using older versions of the controller.
No, my hardware is 9.1 along with my macbook. My work pc and various phones/tablets are 9.2. I can still trigger a library update from my macbook but not my work pc. I do all my ripping on my work pc.
Triggering a library update is one of the few things still allowed.
