OMG ONCE AGAIN SONOS UPDATE CAUSES WASTED TIME AND DOESNT WORK, DO NOT USE.

Worked fine for me!  Try rebooting your router, then power cycling all your Sonos kit and trying again. I too have had plenty of frustrating updates but this wasn’t one. 


The good SONOS help walked me through the fix but really I am just tired of the updates that don’t work smoothly. Help is good , updates are crap and I wouldn’t recommend SONOS to anyone.


If your system gets upset by updates, you could find out what’s causing this. In my experience these kinds of problems are mostly caused by network problems, either interference or cheap routers.


Often the fix for update issues is simply assigning Sonos devices static/reserved IP addresses from your router’s DHCP Settings page. The router should have instructions to follow there.


The update from May was so good that they fired the CEO. Well played.
