Is the sonos desktop app compatible with the new Amazon fire 7 tablet?

I would like to store my music library on the Fire 7 tablet. Can I then use this to link my Sonos app to the music library?

I currently have a PC but I would like to replace it with something that takes less space!

Sonos is supported on Amazon Fire OS 5.x, and 6.2.x
I think the Kindle 7 can run 5.3. But i thew mine away 6 months ago.

I don't remember being able to play music stored on my Fire, but that at 16Gb i wasn't able to store anything other than the OS.

I think you best solution is to invest in a cheap NAS drive. That can sit anywhere in the house and be on 24/7 to provide ample storage without interruption. Also then anyone can use your Sonos system with any controller nit just that Fire device.

I'm not sure about the new tablet but I had problems with the previous version as the OS on the fire tablet has diverged from Android. I suggest you research on the Fire OS rather than the tablet itself.
