Ipod nano not playing via headphone jack/wire

Hi all, I have attempted to play music from my iPod nano via the headphone wire into the back of a Play 5. The iPod is working, but does not play through the speaker. Any advice?

In the Sonos app, making sure the Play:5 is set to play the line in source. Unless you have it set to autoplay, it won't play by default.

Hi, Kamllk. It will be presented in the music sources menu, if a Line-In device is detected. If it is not, you may wish to try a different cable. Let us know how this goes.

Hmmm, thanks for the reply. A line in option does show up when I browse, but nothing plays from my iPod. The equalizer bars are moving on the app, but there is no sound coming out of the speaker. The cable works on a different bluetooth speaker. Is there another setting I am missing?
