How to revert to the old Amazon music App?

This new Amazon app is terrible. I don’t want a Sonos algorithm to choose my selections or what some AI decides is “personalized.” Part of why I pay Amazon is to access the millions of songs. On this new Sonos/Amazon interface, that is no longer a possibility. I hate this.

Whatever app you are using (I suspect you are using the Amazon app to play through Sonos directly), Sonos is not choosing the songs.  That is a function of Amazon, not Sonos.  There has been a major overhaul of the Amazon Music app recently, so this may be what is causing the changes you are seeing.  Given that, you are better off complaining to Amazon than here at Sonos, because you are paying Amazon, and Sonos is not.

Current release S2 App on Android

Search shows 25 tracks for Fleetwood Mac on Amazon.

Coincidentally it also shows they only have 25 albums there.

Short on time to do a full look at the new design but my quick looks seem to confirm there are issues.

Checking the Amazon app, Fleetwood Mac has 51 albums, tracks too many to count.

Don't have a second screen to confirm this but it looks like the Sonos App is only showing the top 25 from Amazon.

Hello @Denver Doug, welcome to the Sonos Community!

I am sorry to hear about your experience with the new Amazon Music interface within the Sonos App.

Amazon caters your homepage with the use of AI. It is out of our control how Amazon Music is presented within the Sonos App and this personalization happens to the native Amazon Music App as well.

Feel free to reach out to Amazon with your feedback.

Thank you for the post.

Spent some time on the Amazon support pages and forums and didn't find it very useful or informative. The Sonos Staff replies here provided more answers than I found there. Thanks.

There are ways to get to additional music such as Stations through the Amazon app. The recent changes make it more difficult, but it can be done. For example, on the Amazon music site, type Stations List in the search bar and hundreds of stations are available.  Search Amazon Music: Browse by Music Genres & Podcast Categories Going through the Sonos interface renders those additional steps impossible. Specifically, there is no Search bar on the Amazon app through Sonos. Consequently, it only shows 12 Stations for example, with no way to access more. Yes, Amazon made changes, and yes they aren’t welcomed. But the Sonos App has made those changes even more difficult.
