I've just replaced a dead amp with a new one. But the system thinks the dead one is still on the list of rooms, even though it's been thrown away. How does one remove it?

Power down your router and any other Sonos devices. Close the Sonos App too. Then power on your router and bring your Sonos devices back online one at a time starting with the nearest devices first. When all are up and running, then open the App and the old Amp should be gone.
