They have to pick you.  It’s rather random.

• No one outside Sonos knows of an S2 beta taking place
• By signing up to the beta program you also signed a confidentiality agreement, so hush…
• You’re on the public board, you’ll have to go there

If you keep asking about beta stuff in the non-beta forum that is likely to guarantee you’ll never be put on a beta program.
