Does everyone find sonos 2 to be so much worse?

I was a big fan of Santos originally; I had eight of the play fives in my house along with a few beams. But I tried to add some more speakers, and was forced to migrate to the Sonos 2 platform which seems flat out terrible. It only seems to work about 20% of the time, and keeps asking me to add things that I’ve already added. Is that other folks experience? Any tricks to make the thing salvageable? I certainly would never advise anyone to buy that house now; to the contrary I would tell them to look for a better option, but I’m stuck now

Hi. I upgraded all the speakers at home to S2, and Sonos devices at my work. And there are no problems with them. Everything works the same as on S1. Try resetting to factory settings on all speakers, and configure again.

Same here - I upgraded to S2 and no issues whatsoever. I don’t see any improvement either, but it doesn't bother me at all…
