I installed Wine on Mint 19 without problems. Then installed the Win Desktop Controller .... all I see is a nice black Sonos flash fixed permanently on screen. Have to reboot to clear.

Any gurus with some tips out there?

Have you installed dotnet40 from winetricks? Which is your desktop controller file called?

Ooopa! I forgot to update this thread .... got it working using PlayonLinux.for dotnet40

It's a bit slow AND there's one screen bug which I can't solve.

When I select a source, eg. Sonos Favourites, the Queue panel heading line flashes a rainbow background before returning to black (?!?).

I'm using the latest 9.3 controller with Win7 prefix (same behaviour with Win10)

Any advice welcome!

Run the Sonos app in a virtual machine containing a supported OS.

It's running on an atom 450 netbook - as far as I know it doesn't have virtualisation in the bios. Also, don't want to shell out for another pay-for OS!
