I have a soundbar and two ‘Play 1’ speakers.  I’ve control all on my iphone with SONOS app.  Mostly use it for watch TV/satellite shows.  Have a whole house internet system and everything is run via wifi…..

Would like to play/listen to my huge collection of cd’s from my computer, use it’s player.  Am currently confused by all the information I’m reading regarding this.

Advise please. . . . . . . .

You need to rip your CD’s to your computer, then add your computer as a local library.

Ripping is far the best option.

If you want to use your computer’s line-out to send sound to Sonos you need a Connect, Port or Play 5, all of which have a Line-in jack.

Seriously, just rip them and be done shuffling CDs in and out, just pick them from the controller and play the music.
