I had a professional service install my Sonos system since they had to run power cables inside a wall. I am trying to "balance" the Play 1's for surround/Eq.
I open the app, go to "more, settings, room settings. Nothing happens.Nothing happens when I select Add a speaker or sub.
Is it possible for these settings to be locked out?

No, those settings can't be locked out. They could be missing, if the speakers weren't set up as surround speakers, though.
When you go to ...More>Settings>Room Settings what does it say for the room for your soundbar? I'm specifically looking for what is in the parentheses after the room name.

What device are you running the controller on?
What operating system is on that device?
Usually, to adjust the surround speaker settings, you would go to ...More>Settings>Room Settings>(name of room that is your soundbar)> Advanced Audio>Surround Settings.
