Block sonos messages to upgrade? How?

I’ve had Sonos for many years and use it all the time.  I have a large system.  I would like to find a way to block the incessant messages to upgrade to the S2 system. I don’t want to spend the money on the new equipment, and I don’t want to run both S1 and S2 as separate systems.  Is there a way to block the messages?   They are annoying to say the least, and I’m not interested.

This worked for me (had to by a ZP90 first though as everything was S2 compliant).

Do the compatibility check (and fail it) first.
