I’ve been seeing more music and live mixes trending on TikTok lately, and sometimes I’d like to play them on my Sonos system instead of just listening on my phone. Has anyone figured out a smooth way to stream TikTok audio to Sonos—whether through AirPlay, Bluetooth, or some other setup?

I’m curious if the sound quality holds up and if there are any tricks to make it more seamless. Do you think TikTok could eventually be integrated directly like Spotify or YouTube Music, or is it better to just stick with screen mirroring/streaming methods for now?

Sonos Ace are perfect for this. Sonos Ace delivers rich, balanced sound across genres, with clarity for vocals and instrument separation. Sonos Ace feature a highly comfortable design with memory foam ear pads, lightweight build, and premium materials. Perfect for those long TikTok jam sessions.

Conversely, you could use Bluetooth or AirPlay 2 to send an audio stream to the Sonos devices that can accept such. Or use the browser on your TV.

I'm seeing apps for TVs that might be your best option if you add a soundbar or Amp.

@Raguu

Thanks for mentioning the Sonos Ace — I hadn’t really considered headphones for this, but you’re right, it could be a nice way to enjoy TikTok mixes without relying on my phone speaker. The comfort factor sounds great too for longer sessions. I’ll look into those.

Good call on Bluetooth and AirPlay 2. I’ve been testing AirPlay from my iPhone and the quality is decent, though sometimes there’s a small delay. Using the TV browser is an angle I hadn’t thought of — that might make it easier to play TikTok audio through the system for parties or group listening. Appreciate the tip!

@Stanley_4

That’s interesting — I didn’t realize there were TikTok TV apps out there. Pairing that with a soundbar or Amp could definitely make the setup feel more like a native integration. I’ll check out that link, thanks for sharing.

Just to add to this — I’ve noticed that the type of TikTok version you’re using can make a difference too. On the regular TikTok app, AirPlay works fine for me, but when I tried out TikTok 18, the audio streams felt a bit heavier and sometimes had more lag when pushing to Sonos. Might just be the way the emulator handles it, but worth mentioning if anyone else is testing different versions.

Has anyone else compared sound quality between the standard app and TikTok 18 when streaming?

I find the easiest way to use AirPlay from your iPhone to a Sonos speaker. Since direct integration with TikTok is not available, streaming via AirPlay or Bluetooth is the most practical solution for now.
