I cannot get rid of the Chrome ad that appears in the App. Any theories as to how to get rid of this ?

I’m not sure why you are shown a “Google Chrome” ad in the Sonos app; I have never heard of that before. Could you mean “Google Assistant”? Anyway, you may find what you need if you go to “Settings” → “App preferences” and turn off pop-ups.
