why dont people join this discussion and support a request / insist Sonos create a backup option for ANDROID for sonos saves of playlists and songs etc. VOTE 1 here.
No negative campers please.
It could, in the simplest form be a text dump to email file or something. then things could be recreated manually at least by users.
The commands are there in API’s but Im not a SOAP or Android programmer. “get playlist etc” would be one command and dump these to a txt file…..

Sorry, please clarify - is it discussion or are only people who agree allowed to contribute?
An Android backup isn’t going to be useful as nothing worthwhile is stored on the mobile device.
It is clear that having a backup option for playlists would be preferable to not having such a backup.
The reason that Sonos has not provided such an option is probably (my speculation) that it is only useful if the whole system has been reset to factory settings, which is hardly ever necessary (except on change of ownership) and warned against.
I would like to see a backup as a ‘rescue’ for those who make the mistake of resetting unnecessarily, but in the end Sonos has to judge this against other priorities.
