That is pretty much standard, maybe it will improve under new management.
Add my vote to those who think these kinds of descriptions are not only meaningless, but frustrating.
SONOS, at least a part of the problem with communications is that you need to use language that we can understand. Please?
It’s actually more descriptive than many!

If I look at app updates in the Google Play Store, 99% of them say “Bug fixes and Performance Improvements”.
It's just an update to fix something(s) they'd rather not acknowledge was broke to start with....

Haha this just might be trye. Looking back at the release notes this is not the new norm of disclosing what’s been fixed or improved.
The update focuses on reliability and performance improvements. Just make sure your system is on the latest version and check your app store to update the Sonos app when it’s available!

Some releases are also introducing bugs. IMO Only update once you’ve confirmed that it is safe to do so here or r/sonos. YMMV.
I allowed the update: my findings are:
From the Sonos App:
Performance degradation due to periodically loss of or turns off a speaker.
Some instances of turning on the app- the App says there is no system, requiring turning off & on the app a few times.
Minor app issue:
App graphic no longer updates with the music. Again- turn off the app & return, & the graphic may update to current music- approx 80%. If not, a second refresh usually updates the image.
Air Streaming - works like it had before the update.
over all, this is pretty much a standard poor release for Sonos. I’m grateful I can still airstream.
Over all:
I am not sure that I will allow future updates. I fear loss of non app function.
The vague description or lack there of is standard update-speak for the majority of tech companies including the big names like Apple, Google, Samsung just to name a few. The only time I’ve seen detail notes is when a bug/issue has been acknowledged by the company.
@Hulla For future readers - it is AirPlay you are using, right?
@106rallye
Thank you for the catch. yes.
AirPlay, (not air-streaming as I originally wrote)
i hadn't used AirPlay much till recently, so the name hadn't stuck yet. -
(and use AirPlay more often with each Sonos update)
