I have a new Denon CEOL RCD-N12. I want to play the audio from the CD and radio issued by this little receiver over my Sonos Group (1xBeam, 2xSonos One SL’s and a Sonos Subwoofer + a new Sonos Port). I’ve tested the new Denon with wired speakers and headphones. I can hear audio on both. I disconnected the wired speakers and the headphones. To hear the music from the Denon on my Sonos set up, I purchased the Port. So far, it does not work. Here is what I did:I grouped all the Sonos equipment. I connected the Denon and Port as follows; Denon’s “Audio Out” RCA to Port’s “Line-In” RCA On the Sonos App the Port’s Line-Out Level is set to ‘Fixed’. I spent about 90mins with Sonos support and sent them a diagnostic report. They concluded that the Port was working just fine but was seeing no input from anything. So, what am I doing wrong? Is what I am hoping to do even feasible? I have not tested the ‘Audio Out’ RCA on the Denon as I dunno how to - I have no other sources I could use
Having a right terrible time with Sonos Can some one please tell me exactly what I need to do as I’m no techie the tech side say I must do “A network switch with an IGMP Snooping option will be the solution “ this means nothing to me. please help fromsonosThanks for following up with me.I completely agree, the devices within are very common. Though we are reporting Network Flooding outwith our connections. While the issues are experienced on Sonos, they're originating from the network. The Network speed and bandwidth have zero impact here.A network switch with an IGMP Snooping option will be the fix. I'll be more than happy to arrange a time to call but have very little further to add at this time. We must reduce the flooding and then combat the high amount of wireless interference. thanks ! As I’m about to dump the lot of it doesn’t work !! 14 speakers Really poor of Sonos to not work
Hi Folks: I have a Sonos Move that I have renamed now countless times. Is there some step that I am missing to do this successfully? After a couple of days, it just defaults to its old location name. So far I have:Renamed it under System → Products Formatted the speaker and set it back up. It then somehow shows up again as Living Room Sonos instead of Main Bedroom. The latter is where I want it. I have removed and added back the entire system. I logged into Sonos.com and then speaker is still named Living Room Sonos, which is not what I labelled it as during the new setup process. It’s a minor detail but throws every person who I show to log in. I would rather not be saying “look for the living room sonos with a battery indicator”. Thoughts or ways to correct the issue?
I have a large music library on my iMac and playlist on my iPhone. How can I set the library in my iMac to a shuffle from my iPhone?
I connected my sonos ray to my motherboard using an adapter. The device can be displayed in my sound settings, and everything tested is normal, and the sound card driver is also the latest version, but there is no sound from the speaker. Why?
Hi there, my question is about using my turntable with Sonos Connect (the one without the amp) and just using that to play on my other Sonos speakers, (Playbar and two Play 1 surrounds and a sub).I got rid of my old speakers and the giant receiver they were connected to but felt I could still use the Connect as a way to play records but it’s not working. Any ideas? Or is what I’m doing not possible?
I have 3 Era 100 speakers to cover two rooms and they work great with Airplay from my iPhone and laptop. I am trying to add my Onkyo TX-NR6100 receiver to the home wifi network (mesh with eero) and despite much watching videos and reading instructions, I cannot make it work. I’ve added the port to my system and it shows up, but the two things that I do not feel I understand are (1) the cable connections to get the receiver to push sound to the port to push sound to the network; and (2) how to configure the ‘works with sonos’ on my Onkyo (which I probably have to ask elsewhere).I have no hard wired speakers.TIA.
Every so often one of the channels on 2 of my sonos Amp just stops working. It appears to be random. Resetting the units doesn’t seem to fix the issue. the units are stored out of the way of any outside interference and the speaker cables are fitted to ceiling speakers. It is 100% not a cabling issue
So just received an email that new Sonance in-wall speakers are coming soon. When I clicked on it it said 8” were “new”. I thought they always had 8” round speakers. Is this is or is their more? I am looking for a set of rear in ceiling speakers for my Arc/Sub 3 set up (no option to put stands and speakers in the back. Hoping for something that incorporates Atmos into the new speaker set up. What is the news?
Hey there.I’ve got a Sonos setup including an AMP, an ERA 300, a sonos move and a roam.I can easily group and degroup all of those, connect my TV through HDMI to the AMP.I just got a Project turntable that I’m connecting to the Amp with RCA cables. The Amp detects the audio in, but it seems that the sound is really really low, and I can’t get it to be of good sound level.Any idea what might be the issue? Thanks in advance, Best regards,Pierre
I recently set up a record player with a Mcintosh MA252 amp and 2 speakers. Can a PORT connect this system to my Sonos network?

I am building a new house and the owner wants all specified speakers changed to sonos speakers, how do i get cost proposal? Send me an email reply so i can send requirements.
I am hoping that I can send signal to my Playbar, which not configured to a TV or any other device. That is, I want you use the Playbar as my speakers for my Mac Mini (mid 2023, M2 chip) running Sonoma 14.2.1 I have succeeded in using SONOS 2 app in my iPhone to stream audio content using my WiFi. I have connected the Playbar to the computer both by USB-C to optical, and HDMI to optical, but my computer is not finding the soundbar as an output device in System Settings > Sound.
Because the turntable is sensible to vibrations while is connected to a Receiver, and I already have a Sonos audio system (Sonos Arc+Subwoofer; Sonos Beam), I bought Sonos port to connect Phono with preamp to Sonos wifi network at home away the big speakers of Denon AV receiver. The Sonos system works Ok, but connecting Port (out) to analog connection “not-phono” of receiver doesn’t sound OK. (For example: Media IN RCA). HOW should config Sonos Port to get out correct IN sound of receiver?
I bought a turntable which has bluetooth and I have a sonos playbar that we use on our tv. Can I connect it to my turntable? Does it have bluetooth and how do I connect?
I would like to understand the difference between plugging my Sonos port into the RCA inputs on the Onkyo and playing music and using the “Works with Sonos” setup in the Onkyo menu. The only difference I see when “works with Sonos” is enabled is that it messes around with my ability to control the volume on my Onkyo for ALL inputs. I don’t understand the point and would love to be enlightened!!
Hi all,Currently looking for some help with this!I have a Project Debut Pro Turntable and am trying to connect an Arcam A25 Amplifier to the system, as I am looking to have an exclusive hifi system for the turntable in the future.I am looking for advice to ensure that I have set this up correctly. So currently I have the turntable connected to a Pro-Ject Phono Box S2 Phono Pre Amp (MM/MC), which is then connected to the Sonos port to allow it to play through my Sonos system. The port is hard wired into my Sonos Beam so I am able to listen to vinyl. So with regards to connecting the amplifier into the system, am I right in thinking that the phono pre amp would be connected into the Port on in and the Arcam amplifier would be connected to out? The Arcam amp does have a phono connection but I have been advised that the phono box is the better route to use rather then the arcam.I am hoping that this makes sense and am looking for your help. RegardsAlex
Purchased the turntable bundle from Sonos and this morning the pro-ject turntable started spinning backwards after making a vibrating noise. Operated fine before. Tried to unplugged and restart but turntable continues to spin in wrong direction. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Options to fix?
Ok apologies if this has been asked before - I did look. i have 6 amps in an upstairs closet all feeding in- ceiling speakers. It’s neater keeping them together but they are not close to the router so none can be wired via Ethernet. over time I’m getting more and more dropouts. I dropped the Boost as the property is small and should be more than covered by WiFi, and it wasn’t helping. All IP addresses are bound on the router and I have tried all available wifi channels. I am theorising that there is a lot of wifi noise in the closet. Would daisy-chaining them with Ethernet, and turning off the wifi on all bar one reduce the noise and improve reliability? In my head this should work but I’m wondering if anyone has tried this? thanksandrew
I currently have a Sonor Arc.I have my turntable connected to a pair of analog Edifier speaker. I am seeking to replace the edifiers with a pair of Sonor Era 100.I wold like to be able to use the Arc connected the the pair of Era 100 for Home Theater application. And to use the Era 100 in pair a reproduce the Turntable using the line. The questions:Every example I find of turntable connected to a Era 100 or 300 are for a single speaker. so It is not clear to me if the line in will be played in stereo or not in the pair of Era 100. Will the line in be shared with the Arc as well?Looking forward to burn more money in Sonos as soon as I understand how it works! Thanks!
