Yesterday I noticed that I cannot retrieve the metadata of an item (a track/song) via the browse method in the UPNP interface. It doesn’t give and error, it just responds with default info. To make sure I wasn’t mistaking, I tried the same on an S1 (old SW!!) only capable player (with latest S1 SW) and there it still works. Anyone seen this? I suspect a bug on one of the latest S2 variants of SW or worse, I deliberate change, but that would make no sense,
I have one Sonos device: a Sonos One SL.I run the Sonos app on a Windows 10 PC.I keep my Sonos app and firmware up to date (currently on version 14.10).I bought and use my Sonos device to play songs from Spotify playlists.(I can play songs from Spotify on my Sonos device by either using the Spotify app connect featureor by using the Sonos app, but I prefer using the Sonos app because it allows you to select and playsongs from multiple playlists while the Spotify app only allows you to play from a single playlist.)As long as I’ve had my Sonos device I’ve had intermittent problems when attempting to load songs from one or more Spotify playlists into my queue, or when playing songs from Spotify from my queue. When attempting to load songs from Spotify playlists into my queue I get unable to load songs 1002 errors, and when attempting to play songs from my queue I get unable to play songs - Spotify connection lost errors. These problems are becoming more and more frequent, and lately it has
Spotify is massively out of sync since a couple of weeks. I remember I installed updates to both Spotify and Sonos. So there are on the latest version. Since three years it is normal that Spotify and Sonos are sometimes out of sync, but this time it is heavily broken and does not recover I start playing a list. I press next maybe. Works. And after a few minutes the problem already appears. The song in Spotify is a wrong one. I sometimes cannot even press next anymore. Volume is buggy too When I use the Sonos app it works. I can see the correct song, next and previous works please please fix this I just took a diagnosis: 1849336499
I have a Sonos Gen 2 that has been misbehaving badly lately, and this is a last-ditch effort to try to resurrect it.Symtoms:When connected to Ethernet, it powers on and then I get a solid white light. When not on Ethernet, it flashes white several times and then the light goes out. When I factory reset on Ethernet, it flashes white 3 times, then goes into a sequence of 4 white/orange flashes, then it repeats the sequence as long as I keep the button on the back held down.If I hold the PLAY/PAUSE button, it flashes white a few times and then goes solid red.Looking at my Pi-Hole device list, it DOES show up in my list of Ethernet devices and is assigned an IP address, so there is *some* life to it.I have tried factory resetting it several times, both on/off Ethernet, including at the request of a Sonos chat agent, to no avail. It’s not under warranty anymore so it’s effectively “trash”, which I feel terrrible about. One of those “worked yesterday, now doesn’t work” situations, and there re
I am running a Gen-1 system comprising two Connect ZP90's, a Connect Amp ZP120 and a ZoneBridge BR100. Intermittently, the two ZP90's keep dropping off of the (Sonos) system. Checking my router web page, all components show up as connected and are assigned MAC addresses, even when NOT showing up on the Sonos app. One will disappear to be replaced by the other, before swapping again and (sometimes) temporarily all components will reappear on the system for a short time before disappearing again. This despite one of the ZP90's being hardwired to the router via a NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS108). Restarting the router seems to help temporarily, but isn’t providing a long term fix. Also, frequently, when trying to play a radio station on one of the ZP90's, I get a message saying "Cannot connect to Sonos Product" I have sent diagnostics and the confirmation number is: 1656924348. Can anybody help please? THANK YOU.
I have two Sonos Ones stereo paired and have connected to my Apple TV (running tvOS 15.2) and when I select the Audio output to Living Room (my stereo pair Sonos Ones) I only get sound out of my right speaker. The left speaker is completely silent. This is not an issue when listening to music via the stereo pair on the So is app, just when using Airplay on the Apple TV. I changed the Apple TV format to Stereo but that didn’t work as well. Wondering if there is a
HiI have just replaced my Connect (v1) with at Port…I have a setup with port in one end and 2 B&O active speaker in the other using the Line-entence.I have a 10m cabel in between (and this is the issue)When the POrt is not active, the speakers make a constant buzz and never power down. There are a constant noice from the speaker…If I replace the 10m cabel, with a 0,5m cabel → no problems… My Clever friends talks about, the 10 cabal acts as an antenna, when not in use and thisis the reason for the constant buzz…When I used the Old Connect, it was not a problem. What Can I do??
This topicHas sent me to the brink of throwing away my entire system, yet my “Troubleshooting” thread is marked as “Answered”.It clearly is not.Shouldn’t the OP be the only one who can mark it as such? (Did I somehow mark it as such? I’ve never felt this issue is resolved...)
I have a very annoying ’problem’ with my Sonos speakers, that I’d previously spent ~£500 to remedy this ‘1st world problem’ by buying a 2 bay NAS with SSD’s.Unfortunately, I’ve had to RMA one of the SSDs so I’m back to relying on my NAS’ with mechanical drives for the time being … so re-encountering this lovely ‘feature’ that is just downright annoying. To explain and set the scene …I add a folder of music from the NAS, say a 12 track album, then play the album ...If the Sonos has to wait for the NAS to wake up, it’ll fails to play the first handful of songs, claiming can’t connect/lost connection and yet happily plays the rest of the album in the same folder on the same bloody NAS!!! Those ‘missing’ tracks are then completely unavailable to the Sonos now!You have to physically yank the power cable for this situation to remedy even when the NAS is fully awake, as the Sonos refuses to accept that the ‘missing’ songs are there/playable.I have 5x Play 5’s and 1x Play 3 set up in 3 ‘groups’
I have an arc soundbar, two, one sl rears, and a gen 3 sub. When Dolby Digital plus surround is available, I get an audio delay compared to video, i.e. lip sync issue. Slowing the audio will make it worse. I am using a 2019 Samsung that only has HDMI ARC. I’ve tried many settings on the tv with no success. Any ideas? Do I need a TV with eARC due to high data transmission requirements?
I need to use some of my speakers (x2 Play 5, Gen 1) on the S1 app and also have a Playbar on the same system - which i just use as a standalone speaker for a different room. However, I also have x2 Play 1 speakers and a Beam (gen 1) which I'm currently using on the S2 app.The problem is that when I open the S1 app to use with speakers in some of my rooms, I get an annoying popup telling me that I can use the S2 app with these speakers - but may first need to upgrade them to latest software (that seems to be wrong - they're incompatible). There is no way to close this popup screen and so I can't actually use my sound system. It's driving me crazy. Can anyone help with this?
I am so over my Sonos system. I’m very frustrated with what shouldn’t be so difficult to figure out.I got my Sonos Playbar, Sub and 2 speakers Jan of 2020. Last year in September, I moved to a new place with new router, etc. In my new house I setup a Ubiquiti UMD Pro with a switcher and 3 WPs attached to the switcher. When I go into my App, my account, system and services&voice are grayed out. When I try to Select your Product and it searches for nearby products, I get nothing. Devices are plugged in and on. When I select join nearby system it says “We can’t find a Sonos system on (wifi network name). Did you make changes to your router or network settings.” When I go through the process and try to find a system, it says Sonos not found. Make sure you’re signed in and your mobile device is connected to the internet an don the same WiFI as Sonos. This is extremely frustrating and I can’t find a solution.
I have 4 sonos play speakers and had the system for approx 8 years. Over the past few months the connection to the system has been very temperamental with the trouble shooting steps working maybe 1 in 3 times. I am using the same router, in the same position and do not have issues with any other devices connected to the network. The system is unusable for some time and getting to the end of my patience with the system.
Hi all, I’d be very grateful for any advice on the following. I own a Sonos Port so we can send audio to an external line-out source via the Port’s RCA outputs. It has been running glitch-free on our Unifi system for well over three years, alongside our many other Sonos devices.A couple of days ago, I noticed that although the Port showed that content was streaming from it, output was not being heard via its RCA outputs. Power cycling the unit did not resolve the issue. To try to troubleshoot, I hard reset the Port by holding down the button on the back of the device while connecting it to power. And that’s when my nightmare really started. I went through the process of setting up the unit. At the risk of hijacking my own thread, I do need to note in case any one from Sonos is reading this that the setup experience for this product is horribly inaccessible to me as a totally blind person. Rather than simply joining our existing Sonos network, the iOS app prompted me to connect to the PO
We have wi-fi and internet intact. All products have power and a unit is hardwired via ethernet to router. Nothing has been changed - though we have been experiencing a lot of drop out these last few weeks. Anyway, today we are no longer able to access/connect to sonos. Tried all the recommended fixes. Nothing. I can see no reason why it shouldn’t work, but it doesn’t. (Have just updated mac os on laptop, but that should not interfere with my iphone...). Im using S1 app. Sonos help sequence sent me here...
A SiriusXM station will be streaming to a Google Nest Hub Max and when I open the Sonos app the Google Nest Hub Max stops streaming saying the SiriusXM account is being used on another device. I didn’t play or even search for anything on SiriusXM through the Sonos app though. All I did was open the app on my phone. I hit no other buttons. How do I fix it so I can listen to SiriusXM on my Google Nest Hub Max in one room while listening to music (not on SiriusXM, on Google Music) through a Sonos speaker in another room?
Hi all,My Sub is visible on my App and in the lounge with the Amp and surrounds but it won’t connect when I try. If I hard wire it to the amp then it works but I can’t leave it in the position. It asks me if I want to add this sub to Lounge and then just says it can’t connect. I have reset it multiple times and left it for a while before I try and connect it but nothing.Everything else on my network is working fine. Really annoying!
I have 3 sonos one's that are vulnerable to an music hack app and customer care offers zero support or relief. These speakers are trash and at this point want a refund! It doesn't happen with sonos roam. Only the trash speakers. Even bought an sonos boost. Useless. I am livid!!
I just swapped out a Connect for a new Port. As others have mentioned the sound just isn’t as good. I saw one post about a burn in period but then the thread was closed so I don’t know if the sound got better. I’ve seen posts about changing to fixed instead of variable but that isn’t a great option. Are there are any other solutions for improving the sound of the Port? Is there a burn-in period? Thanks.S
Hoping someone can help with vinyl set up using Sonos Connect. I’ve had this same system working previously prior to a house move but now seemingly am banging my head against the wall. I have the system set up as Turntable > Connect > Amp (with wired speakers connected). Initially I set this up, selected the Line-In and was getting no output from the vinyl playing. To check, I switched over to Sonos Radio as the input and had the smooth sounds of Cruise Control playing straight away through both the wired speaker and a separate Sonos 1 I paired the Connect to in my system. So that told me the signal is going from Connect > Amp & speakers.I looked at the Line-Out Level and started trying Fixed or Pass Through. This resulted in the vinyl coming through the wired speakers just fine, but left the Sonos 1 coming through incredibly quiet even when up to near full volume in the Sonos app. If anyone has encountered and/or mastered this problem in the past please do pass on any w
LED: Flashing green in the cycle 3 seconds on, 1 second off I have a Sonos One, and after multiple failed setups, I got it connected to right wireless network. It’s the only device in the Sonos system itself. After updating the wifi network, naturally I had to reconfigure the speaker. However, it would not connect back to the network. I then tried factory resetting it but once I did this it, it went through the standard alternating white and orange state and then when it should turn flashing green, it goes in to the slow green sequence stated at the top of the post. It goes through this process every time it’s factory reset and in this state it doesn’t appear as a new device to set up in the app nor in the troubleshooting process to reconnect devices. I’ve tried reconnecting it using a wired connection but that didn’t work. I’ve had a look at the support article on the meanings behind LED statuses but none of them match what I’m seeing.
Lots of posts here and no fixes on how to program your soundbar to a remote where it requires you to repeatedly hit the volume button. I’ve been struggling with it and figured it out. I was trying to program a new Roku TCL remote and when I went in the app it would ask me to push volume up three times, then volume down three times then mute three times. It would work but it would require me to keep pressing volume up or down in order to adjust the volume. I wanted to press and hold volume up or down until it got to the desired volume level.I made a short video showing how to do it. It’s on youtube, you can just search “Program Sonos SoundBar IR Volume when it requires hitting button repeatedly” I will also post the link below — not sure if it will allow me to post the link so in case it does not you know how to find the video.. easier to show than try to explain.
Hi I’ve no change to my wifi network. Sonos been working fine for 5+ years. This pas week we have periodically been unable to connect to the sonos system from App. Resetting Router solves it for a few hours but the problem returns. Speakers are working fine even though we cant connect if I turn them on manually, albeit on the same playlist or radio station we set them on.Any ideas?
I have one room that keeps dropping in my setup when grouping rooms together when a next song is picked / the playlist is changed. This means I can hear the other rooms start the next song correctly but this room will drop and pick up the song again after a couple of seconds. I need help solving this.
