Hi,I have been using Spotify connect for over 4 years now. About 3 months ago it stopped playing Spotify. I can start a song, however 5 seconds later it stops. If I turn the volume up or down it works for another 5 seconds. I have updated the software on all devices. The connect is wired (therefore is not a network issue). All other streaming apps work fine, it is just Spotify that doesn’t work - which is frankly the only streaming service that should work. please help - this is driving me crazy.
I have a Samsung 65MU6100 4K TV, with Sonos Arc, sub and two Sonos One’s and a new Apple 4K TV box.If I connect the Apple TV direct to the TV I have no problems with anything. All apps work well including Netflix. As my TV will only handle Dolby Digital Plus I also have an Arcana. When I connect the Apple TV through the Arcana all apps work (Disney, Neon etc) well apart from Netflix – every time I scroll to different shows, or try to stream something, the screen goes black and have no sound for a second or so – very annoying.I have looked on many forums to find a solution but nothing suggested has worked (resets etc).I have made sure all the display settings on the Apple TV unit are the same whether connected directly to the TV or through the Arcana. The only things different is through the Arcana the audio is set to Dolby Atmos.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hello All — I have researched and read all of the material on Sonos + Pioneer Elite. I have a minor twist on what appears to be a common prob and could use some expertise. I’m trusting this is a no judging zone. :)My Pioneer plasma is a PRO-150FD, older than dirt but beautiful. I use a Roku stick on HDMI and until recently a Playbar connected via optical cable. I moved the entire setup to a new room and cannot get optical connected with the original or a new optical cable. I have tested the speaker in other rooms and it works with different setups. Could the optical cable port have gone bad? Is it worthwhile to try a port switcher with digital audio outputs?I’m hoping the answer to the last question is yes, and if so, can you help me with the setup? While a simple setup, this doesn’t come easily to me. I have spent hours on the phone with sonos and they determined that the plasma is not receiving the optical audio signal. I’m looking for a way to save the TV AND the playbar I would
I am profoundly disappointed that my Play 5 is no longer any use - a paper weight as others have now termed.I write to see if SONOS have come up with an answer yet. This is a very expensive paper weight, and is now not fit for purpose, nor is there anywhere that states it would be subject to be upgraded so it becomes inoperative. Is there any fix for this please?
Sonos Speaker works fine when at the main office, if Sonos Speaker is on a satellite office, speaker won't connect to controller or vice versa. Same SSID
Hi. I am looking to fix something going on with my setup.I have a PC attached to a TV attached to the Sonos. When I click on Living Room and group everything else (Some One’s and a 5 in individual groups)They will all group together and everything works great. The problem is when I, say, pause a video or stop playing audio on the Sonos. I’m not sure how long but after a while the grouping will stop. When this happens what it looks like in the Sonos app is instead of everything in one group with dark shading on it what you see is Living Room with no dark shading over it and then everything else grouped with the dark shading. I have to click on Living Room and group again to get it back to working. How can I fix this? Thanks!
I have a Sonos one an Apple Music connection. When I ask Alexa to play a song or to play an artist she says “I cant find songs by artist or the name of the song” on Apple Music. I also have an echo input and with exactly the same question it can play the item requested. The Sonos One does seem to be able to find and play my Apple Music playlists. I spent about an hour chat session with a very helpful Sonos Representative who had me disable Apple Music and reenable it and Sonos as well but no success. Has anyone struck a similar problem and managed to resolve it. if I ask the echo to play a song on my Sonos one that works
I have a sound bar, 2 no. Sonos Play Ones and a Sub. All was working well up until very recently. As far as I know, I haven’t done or changed anything to make this problem happen. When playing my music through the Sonos App, the music is dropping out and coming through the speakers intermittently.Could this be something to do with my Wi-Fi?I have just had Sky Q put in but I am sure the problems were happening before this was done.Anyone have any ideas how I rectify this please? Thank you.HB
When a playlist is playing, if you select a new song and select play next, that song will not be played. It is skipped and continues with the playlist.
I have a simple SONOS network of 2 Play1’s , i’m using S2 and I can’t get my iphone 12 to connect to the SONOS network. When my phone is the only controlling device on the network it won’t connect. If then i connect another controlling device (e,g. my wife’s iphone12 mini or my MacbookAir) which does work, my iphone 12 suddenly then connects to SONOS network. Then if my i take my wifes’ iPhone12 and MabookAir off the network and try again, my ipHone 12 doesn’t work gain!!Something is blocking my Iphone12 when there is no other controller on the siteI’m using a stand BT smart hub router. The iphones and Macbook air are connected to the 5GHZ network, the SONOS is connected to the same network via 2,5GHZ rebooting any part of the network or phone makes no differenceany ideas?
Hello, During the lasts weeks we have a lot of dropout problems when playing Amazon Music HD content. Having this HD service from its beginning, and without doing any change in our network configuration (3 velop nodes, without isp main network, just an ONT connected to the main velop node), it seems really strange. We have A LOT of sonos devices, but just one of them (playbar) connected by ethernet wire. These dropouts happened only when playing amazon hd content in other device than the playbar, so I supposed it’s a issue with my wireless network. When grouping other rooms with the playbar, that one reproduce the audio perfectly but other rooms have some (less) dropouts. Also checked the same behavior applies with FLAC content on my NAS.So, could be possible to configure our sonos system to use that wired playbar as “master” when using amazon music HD? I think that wired configuration with at least a wired device was available a long time ago in the sonos app.I tried to contact sonos
I get "song not encoded properly" every now and then, when listening to Sonos Playlist. 99% of the songs come from Apple Music.
Sonos app on iPhone. Using Amazon Music to stream. I go into ‘albums’ from the Home Screen. Some albums have a ‘play’ button which enables me to play the whole album. Some albums don’t have a ‘play’ button and you can only play one song at a time. Compare the two images below. It’s really irritating. What’s going on?
How can I tell, without a better memory than mine, which is Mozart and which Brahms? This is not the only album with this problem. At least this has all the movements instead of only some, but still. Can I change a setting?
Why won’t SONOS stop spamming me? How do I stop it? There are messages from other users in this forum going back years about this that are closed topics. But still SONOS ignores its own settings. I contacted Sonos support again about this earlier in the week. They said the same things to me that they did a year ago about changing settings when I asked. And then they said they would look into it more to end the conversation. And I have now received more marketing spam from them about yet another product they are trying to sell. Sonos is a wretched company. All my devices have in app and email contact options disabled but these switches are not respected by SONOS marketing. All my devices received the same spam. It goes on and on. If SONOS want to repeatedly send unsolicited messages then the products should be free. From what Sonos support tell me they must have been looking into a ‘fix’ for this for years. Or maybe they don’t want to fix this because people do not care.
G’dayWhenever I play Spotify through my Sonos set up, after 15 mins or so, my music cuts out and my internet crashes. At first i thought it was an issue with the internet as we have recently moved into a new property and set up with a new internet provider. I do not receive any error messages, it just cuts out and anything linked to the internet stops working until the modem has been reset. I have tried using Spotify itself and also through the Sonos app and experience the same issue. Sonos Radio just cut out and I used Soundcloud for over an hour yesterday via the Sonos app and had no issues at all, therefore I’m, assuming it’s an issue within Sonos. Any help will be much appreciated
Hi there,I’m having a bit of a nightmare trying to get my Sonos system to work with my ASUS Ai Mesh set up. I realise this has been posted about before but none of what has been suggested in the other posts has worked and neither has spending a few hours on the phone to the customer care team. The issue is speakers drop in an out of the Sonos app, not just in terms of audio but from the system set up screen. I have two Play3’s, a Play 1, Zimfonisk lamp, and 4 Books. Originally the system was set up on an ASUS AX Zenwifi mini AiMesh. I have tried the following to resolve this:Disabled Airtime Fairness Disabled QoS Updated firmware Plugged in an Play3 to my router for Sonos Net Purchased a BOOST to create a Sonos Net Created a fixed IP for every Sonos speaker as per this guide: Purchased an ASUS AX-XT8 to see if the firmware was any better in working with Sonos products as there was very little listed on these pages regarding the AX mini...all of this to no avail. Nothing I’ve tried has
I have 2 x ZP100’s. They have worked faultlessly for years - well for as long as I have had them. However I’ve noticed recently that when the morning alarm triggers (one is in the bedroom and has been our wake-up music for years) the ZP100 stop playing after a random, and short, period of time - about 10-15 minutes. They are actually set to play for 90 minutes.Anyone know what’s going on.
I am an AV installer. At a client’s house which is all S1 and which consists of five Connect Amps and one Playbar. The fifth Connect Amp was just added to the previously existing four. In order to get the system set up I had to reset all five units and the Playbar. I then set it up using S1 and was able to get Tune-In Radio to play on all units as well as the turntable. As a result of resetting everything, I had to add back in Spotify and Pandora for the client, which I did successfully. The problem is when Spotify or Pandora are selected I cannot play music. For Spotify, no matter what I select I get an error message “cannot add music to queue” and for Pandora I get a connection error message. Prior to resetting the system and adding the fifth Connect Amp there was a Bridge installed. As part of the work to add the fifth amp I ran a data cable to the location where the five amps are located and connected it directly to one of the amps and eliminated the Bridge. Since all uni
SOLID RED light on my 2 Sonos CONNECT started at about the same time this month (OCT 2021), running on S2... anyone know what is this?
Hi all! I hope you can help me with the following super frustrating situation... Overall issue: I'm trying to set up a Sonos amp for an outdoor kitchen unsuccessfully - 2 Sonos AMPs have been "bricked" (gone irresponsive) attempting to go through the setup. I haven't been able to get any direction or resolution from Sonos support (who only attempted to diagnose / resurrect the faulty Sonos AMPs with no success). I'd appreciate any ideas / help... The setup: Sonos amp connected to:a pair of Bose 251 Environmental Outdoor Speakers Samsung - The Terrace Series 65" - via HDMI connected to the HDMI ARC port on the TV Detailed setup sequence: Hooked up the Amp to the speakers and HDMI cable (my electrician misplaced the banana connectors so he directly hooked the speaker cables into the audio ports)Connected it to power outletThe Sonos app identified it as new device and started the set up processupdated the software as part of the setup processthen asked if I wanted to set up as TV or stere
We have 8 Sonos speakers on our home system, plus a boost. Randomly, the music will stop playing through different speakers at different times, but continue through others. Then it will randomly come back to all of them. This happens fairly ofter. It does seem that it happens most often to the speaker that is closest to our router and boost. Tried most of the fixes I’ve read here, but feeling like the solution is over my head. Diagnostics # is 1367912203. Just submitted it while it was happening.
Ran diagnostics. Confirmation 1582975684.Tried Ethernet but cuts out a lot. Have mesh Nest Wifi with gigabit service. When I unplugged and used thru wifi, doesn’t cut out as often but still does periodically. Nest wifi base station is close to Sonos products
Hello, few days ago i noticed when opening the sonos app that it said it couldnt be used with the system anymore ( arc + 2 sonos one sls as surround ). I updated and now im getting faint white noise over my music/movies etc from the SLs as soon as i start playing something. Playing source seems irrelevant since it does it both from my iphone ( apple music airplay ) and my LG CX. Also after stopping any sound/ source device it still plays the white noise for a few seconds then stops with a small pop ( when they become inactive i suppose ). Tried unplugging , nothing changes. My arc has no white noise. Tried resetting wifi network, no success ( even if wifi is down until they become inactive white noise can still be heard). Any ideas? Going crazy here.
Hello everyone, I have just bought a Sonos Beam (Gen 2) and it sounds fantastic. I can access Dolby Atmos via AppleTV, Dolby Digital Plus via Amazon Prime and PCM Stereo via iPlayer. However, when I watch a 4K Blu-ray or Blu-ray or with Dolby Atmos or Dolby TrueHD, it only displays Dolby Digital. I think I have all the connections and settings correct, so I’m flummoxed. I would be very grateful if anyone had any suggestions.SAMSUNG UE43RU7470UXXUSONY UBP X-800
