Let's talk about Sonos Connect, Connect:AMP, Sonos AMP, and setups using Sonance architectural, or your own speakers and components.

I've read various forum posts about this sort of issue, but remain a bit confused about the possibilities with my unique setup. (I'm coming from a house where I used Sonos in a conventional sense with multiple Play 3s, an AMP, and Bridge). I bought a new house with a built-in distributed sound system by Russound. It consists of a multi-zone amplifier which feeds 6 zones. Each zone has a wall-mounted controller (on/off, volume and source) with in-ceiling speakers. http://goo.gl/uJuPeJ Currently, I have an Airport Express hooked into the "CD input" on the amp and use an iPhone/iPad/Mac as the music source which is controlled with the Apple Remote iphone app. It works okay, although with this setup, different music cannot be played in different zones. So, first question -- is there a way I can use Sonos technology (?CONNECT and CONNECT:AMP) to give me multi-zone control? And second question: If the above is possible, can I enhance some of the existing zones by adding the free-st
Hi guys, I've tried to update my sonos system and it seems to have update all my speakers apart from the Sonos Bridge. I've unplugged, power cycled whilst holding the button in, but it still is coming up with a failure when trying to update. If I click use anyway, I can use as normal, it just doesn't seem to want to update. Any suggestions?
Hey all, So, I am trying to do something relatively simple here. I want to put a "max" volume limit on a particular zone. I have an outdoor setup and I'd like to be mindful of my surroundings. It's about 2000 square feet of space and I have 6 speakers out there connected to two zones. I used an outdoor volume dial (can't find the link at the moment) for a while and it worked wonderfully. So I wanted to upgrade to this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XUM9OAM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 All the speakers are from htd: http://www.htd.com/Products/Outdoor-Speakers/Q65-Outdoor-Speakers It is connected to an CONNECT:AMP CONNECT:AMP --------> VOLUME DIALS ----------> Speaker Pair A, B, C. By driving an input on the "A" input and setting the volume controls down WAY low (literally one "click" up from off), I figured, I could leave the software/zone at "max" volume while then using the dials on the volume controller to effectively limit the max v
I want to connect a speaker to both left and right channels as mono.
This topic has been beat to death on this forum. I am hoping this thread generates enough interest to at least peak the interest of the money makers at Sonos and hopefully this or a version of it is put into production. A "Zone Player Pro" would be Ampless and have One (1) Coax and One (1) Optical Digital Outputs in a standard 17" Audio/HT component case. Forget any and all other requests, for now, such as rackmount, color, additional features, or a Price Reduction. Lets assume it will cost the same as the current Zone player $499, anything less would be a bonus. Simply put, do you want and would you purchase a "Zone Player Pro".
