Using 2 x Connect:Amps for surround sound?

Hi all,

As per title really, I’m trying to setup two Connect:Amps (Gen 1) for surround sound from my TV. The line-in works great and both amps are currently setup as different rooms & are performing well (wireless & wired modes both work fine when tested). However, step 3 of the guide: “Under Products, tap the Sonos home theater room” - I don’t see an option for the “Sonos home theatre room”. Any ideas? Hi @Ben-R,

 

The community post and article you linked are referring to the newer, but similarly named, Sonos Amp and not the Connect:Amp. 

Connect:Amp is not designed to be used with a TV as a home theatre product, so you wouldn’t be able to add surrounds to it.
