System switching from sonos port (Bedroom) back to sonos amp (Living Room) without prompting

Thanks for all of the input...I called Sonos and spoke directly with them sharing screen for about an hour...they new pretty much exactly what I was experiencing...they haven’t yet developed a way (but will) to separate the source signal from my computer specifically and accurately between the 2 systems without doing a couple of manipulations within the brown app on the computer...they showed me how to manually adjust each time...which I am willing to do...I have to unconventionally hit a sequence of  exiting buttons on the screen..but no big deal for me...they are working on the technology that will make this not necessary….again, they knew pretty much exactly what my issue was...thanks again everyone...

I “Liked” your response as I’m glad it appears some headway was made regarding your issue.

However, I’m curious to know what sequence of buttons you have to manipulate. Futhermore, I think I’m pretty well versed in how Sonos works maybe not as much as  members like ​@Airgetlam and @jgatie but I’ve never had to manipulate a sequence of buttons to enjoy my Sonos. Granted, I don’t use a computer as an integrated part of my system so I’m not familiar with all the ins and outs.

On another note Sonos as a rule doesn’t share information about emerging technologies reference your statement “they are working on the technology that will make this not necessary”. That clearly suggests something evolutionary coming from Sonos that by my way of thinking is a leak of sorts. Especially so as the “Brown App” as you call it has been on the chopping block for several years and is now set to be phased out entirely in favor of the Web app. Mac computers may lose functionality with the “Brown app” even before Sonos retires it; if Apple pulls the trigger on their new MacOS first.

All said whatever alchemy Sonos Tech Support conjured up Kudo’s to them and congrats on getting your system working (sort of).

Kdowling...I know I have a stretch of a system...but the tech recognized that I was using my computer as the EXCLUSIVE source, outside of streaming services….I think in essence what ended up happening was that the tricky button pushing actually triggered my rooms to line up correctly…..I can go back and forth between both rooms seamlessly in computer app and phone app….he said they wee already aware of this glitch, and were taking care of it in their newer app development…..and yes...he was only interested in brown app….I do not have to repeat his back and forth with mute and pause play buttons...just sayin...thanks for all of your input...and everyone elses...
