I have an open concept first floor with a Sonos beam on a wall mounted TV. I have the amp and 4 speakers not sure where to place them anyone have some suggestions. I don't really need surround sound for the TV looking for more audio for the room. Do i need all 4? what should I do?

Two, maybe stereo Paired on top of the kitchen cabinets. Two beside the fireplace, likely stereo Paired.

The space appears to be a perfect square.

The Red Lines represent an approximation to the center of the space corner to corner. The Green Square represents speaker placement (Yellow Circles) at an approximate 10 feet apart (vertical and horizontal) which is the maximum separation for Sonos 6 inch speakers by Sonance. The equal 10 foot placement should yield maximum coverage for the space.

The Amp should be placed in Mono output so that each listener regardless of position in the space hears the same audio. You may want to consider installing a wall mounted volume control for convenience.

Speakers can be grouped with the Beam to play in sync for music. Groupig for TV audio is not recommended as the speakers will be subject to a 75ms delay creating and echo effect and lip sync issue.

If you want to be able to control the speakers in pairs you’ll need two Amps. Doing so will allow music in the kitchen area while keeping the TV area somewhat insulated to enjoy a movie or sports events.
