I have a gen 2 amp that one of the speaker outputs started emitting a crackling sound.. the other output sounds fine… I also have an old amp that doesn’t work. Was wondering if I can swap the outputs?

That would be some major, very technical circuit board rework. If you have the tools and skills it could be done. Actually you would only bother to swap the failed components.

Opening it up reduces your options, far better to call Sonos support and explore fixing the issue or replacement options before opening the case.

Nor would you receive any ‘official’ support from Sonos, who has a stance against customers opening up their products. My guess is due to liability, since there are some significant capacitors (relatively) in most products, and legal folks seem to be appropriately sensitive.
