After upgrading my app to Sonos2 my kitchen Sonos one no longer appears in the app. It shows up in Google Home and my kids see it and can play music but it does not appear in my app.

Are you on iOS? If so then enable Local Network access for the app and disable Private Address for your WiFi network.
Also make sure you are using the same app as your kids (“Sonos S1” or “Sonos”).
