I have a Sonos boost that I factory reset and am trying to set up as the hub for my system to replace a speaker that’s currently the SonosNet node (all devices are boost compatible). The boost is showing a flashing green light however it is not showing up in my s2 app when I go to add a new product. I’ve tried a couple of resets but it doesn’t seem to work. Not sure what else I can do. The phone and the boost are right next to each other. Could you help me troubleshoot this?

Have you tried disconnecting the Sonosnet speaker before adding the boost?

It may be that its somehow blocking the Boost from being seen.

Just my guess though.

“Right next to each other” is often a problem, move them about 3 feet apart and they may work.

Have you considered moving your Sonos to WiFi only and not wiring any to the router? I recently moved from having several wired to WiFi only and am quite happy with the new setup.

You have to have the existing wired device and the Boost wired at the same time.

Further explanation. A factory reset Boost has to be wired if it is to join an existing SonosNet. And there is a SonosNet to join only if a device from the existing system is wired.

There used to be a separate "Add a Boost" option in the app, but it wouldn't surprise me if that no longer exists.

Once the Boost has been added you can disconnect the original wired device.

Give the system some time to settle down. Do not conclude that it hasn't worked if it's not instant.

Aftet following the procedure you may have to power off the router and Sonos, then power back on the router, Boost and other Sonos, in that order.
