Is it a device that you recently acquired? If it is, did you try a factory reset to see if the original owner had the LED disabled?
Is it hardwired to your router? Are the lights on the ethernet port blinking?
Are you able to test the adapter? If the adapter is working and you still get no lights, then it could be a dead unit.
