Do you know what the impedance is at the location where the amp is going? Because I can imagine there are three possible scenarios:
- If the speakers are 16 ohms, 4 speakers in parallel will present a 4 ohm load. The Amp can run that impedance.
- If the speakers are 8 ohms, you get a 2 ohm load. The Amp is not designed to work with a 2 ohm load.
- The speakers have a 70 volt transformer and are designed to work with an amp designed for that configuration. The Amp is not capable of running speakers with transformers.
So this is what you will need to know BEFORE connecting the Amp, because you could end up damaging it.
8 ohm speakers creating a 2ohm load. Is the situation. So it's looking like i need a new amp since rewiring the speakers requires a manlift in my home.
